The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions on the community.
SASSA will probably be rendering solutions including new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency stated it can be alarmed regarding the substantial range of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some significant number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is often because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie SRD and there is no totally functional office focused on service the area daily. The service level established for intervention experiences a large influx of likely beneficiaries, which makes it hard for that Workplace to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra means to help the servicing of all prospects and maximize usage of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
